The collection includes papers for Beulah Wachtmeister, Fredrik Wachtmeister and Jane Dutcher Wachtmeister. The majority of the papers pertaining to Beulah are financial in nature, including records related to her trust. However the collection also includes a scrapbook of photographs, newspaper clippings, calling cards, invitations (1880s to 1900s), and correspondence with her father (1918-1928) and her nephew, James W. Hubbell (1926-1934). Papers pertaining to Fredrik include an obituary, correspondence, financial records, Whitehall Farm records, and a photograph. The small collection of papers pertaining to Jane are related to her parents' estate and some investment records.

Beulah Hubbell was the second child of Frederick Marion and Frances Cooper Hubbell. She was graduated from Mount Vernon Seminary in Washington, D.C. In an 1899 wedding at Terrace Hill she married Count Carl Wachtmeister, a diplomat from Sweden. The couple resided in Paris, France and had one son, Fredrik Hans Carl Wachtmeister.
